A restaurant first
Woodfired comes from Villa Anvers, the restaurant we open on the cliffs of Guéthary every summer. One seating a night, Thursday to Saturday, a sharing menu cooked over wood and served outside, facing the ocean.
Guests kept asking whether we could cook the same dinner for their wedding, their birthday or their company. So we started to pack up the fire and take it with us.
The people
Jordan Trainor runs the kitchen as our chef. Nicklas Menschel founded the place and looks after you from the first message to the day itself. Around them, a summer team of cooks and waiters who know how a long table should feel.
We are not a big catering company and do not want to be. We take a small number of events each year so each one gets our full attention.
Weddings at Villa Anvers
Each year we host one wedding a month at Villa Anvers in May, June, September and October, with the whole house for your guests for five days to a week. The rest of the year, we come to you.
